Common Questions

What are the benefits of brow lift surgery?

This procedure, done via incisions hidden above the eyebrows, can elevate more of the lateral brow than the endoscopic method. Dr. Gross uses this method for patients with heavy brows and mostly for men.

How much does a brow lift cost?

The cost of a traditional brow lift procedure for our Orlando patients depends on a number of factors. On average, the cost ranges from $3,500 to $5,500, but your specific costs may differ. Dr. Gross is proud to offer financing through CareCredit®.

What does the procedure do?

This procedure lifts drooping eyebrows, removes hooding over eyes, and tightens and lifts the sagging eyebrows. It opens the upper eyelid area for better vision, as well.

How long will this take?

Approximately 1 1/2 hours in our accredited surgery center at Primera, outside Orlando in Lake Mary.

What type of anesthesia do you use?

We require general anesthesia for this procedure.

Is this an outpatient procedure?

Yes, this is an outpatient procedure at Primera Surgery Center.

What are the common side effects?

Temporary swelling, numbness, headache, and bruising. The traditional method also includes the possibility of scalp itching and hair loss.

What are the risks?

Injury to facial nerve, muscle weakness, an asymmetrical look, infection, broad or excessive scarring, eyebrow asymmetry.

How long is the recovery time?

While patient experiences vary, you can expect to go back to work in 7 to 10 days. More strenuous activity should be avoided for several weeks. Full recovery from swelling or bruising should occur in about 2 weeks. Limit sun exposure for several months.
