Request a Consultation Pulsed dye laser skin treatments at our Orlando-area practice treat skin conditions ranging from facial veins and rosacea to port wine stains in a matter of minutes with little to no downtime. Our Candela™ pulsed dye laser corrects skin discoloration using a concentrated beam of light that targets blood vessels in the skin. The light converts into heat, destroying the blood vessel while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged.

Men and women from Orlando and other Florida cities travel to Primera for laser skin treatments. Request a consultation using the online form or call our office at (407) 333-3040 to schedule an appointment.

Case 390, Rosacea Laser in Orlando

Rosacea and Pulse Dye Laser Results | Orlando. This 50 year old service contractor was bothered by Rosacea and chronic redness of his face. He was treated with antibiotics, topical washes, and the Candela Pulse Dye Laser to remove the redness. His After photo following 6 sessions with the laser shows a nice improvement in his skin tone and the redness is gone. He is very happy. Therapy for Rosacea requires medical control of the outbreaks and laser therapy to reduce the inflammation / redness of the face. Sun avoidance is also key.

Case 147, Rosacea and Redness | Laser

Pulse Dye Laser.  This 30-year-old woman with light skin tone underwent pulsed dye laser skin treatments. Tou can see, after 3 lunch time treatments, her red areas (Rosacea) and  broken veins on the cheeks are gone. The laser also helps reduce signs of Rosacea. She is very happy.

Case 49, Skin Discoloration Treatment Case

Christine. Pulse Dye Laser.  Christine had a Port Wine Stain from birth.  We treated with the Candela V-Beam 6 sessions for these results. She is very happy.

Case 344, Nose Veins

PDL ( Pulse Dye Laser) is the gold standard for removing face and nasal veins. Generally 3-4 Tx's are needed to remove these annoying vessels, also called telangiectasia's, which begin to appear in the 30's , especially in lighter skinned patients (Fitzpatrick I and II). No anesthesia is required and the laser is considered a 'cool touch' laser . A puff of Freon comes out of the laser to cool the skin during therapy. We can treat as young as age 12 and also treat Port Wine stains from birth.  Primera uses the Candela V-Beam Perfecta which is the latest advance in laser technology. This patient developed the broken blood vessels following skin cancer reconstruction. Dr. Gross lasered the area to improve appearance.

Pulsed Dye Laser Treatments With a Facial Aesthetic Specialist

The pulsed dye laser's versatility is almost unmatched when it comes to treating skin conditions. From correcting red and brown skin discoloration to eliminating virtually all vascular and pigmented lesions, the pulsed dye laser is a safe and extremely effective procedure. It features advanced micropulse technology, multiple handpieces for treating various spot sizes, and a patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ system, which reduces downtime by minimizing discomfort, purpura (post-treatment rash), and bruising.

This laser can be used for all ages and most skin types. You feel a slight warmth during the procedure, but an intermittent spray cools your skin to ensure your comfort.

Pulsed Dye Laser Skin Treatment Cost

While the number of treatments required for your desired results depends on a number of factors such as the condition being treated and the size of the treatment area, each pulsed dye laser treatment at our Orlando-area practice typically costs $450.

What to Expect

Pulsed dye laser treatments don't require anesthesia or injections. Treatments can be as short as a few minutes, depending on the size of the treated area, and most patients can return to work the same day.

Side effects are generally minimal and include temporary bruising and pigmentary changes. Before treatment, we recommend that you wear sunblock consistently for 1 month, as tanned skin blocks the laser light and results in a higher chance of side effects. Scarring is extremely rare with this laser.

Patients should avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks following their treatment. Moisturizer applied 2 to 3 times per day protects the skin and speeds healing. Sun protection also helps minimize the chance of pigmentary changes. Patients can wear makeup starting on day 2. If any crust forms, patients should not pick at it or try to remove it. Any bruising should fade relatively quickly over a 3- to 10-day period.

"This laser combines 'cool touch technology' with yellow light, which is very safe and prevents damage to surrounding tissue."
