Surgery for Men Case Before & After Pictures of Patient #345

Procedures Performed: Chin & Cheek Implant, Surgery for Men

Case #345 Details

Eric. Chin Implant and Neck Lipo.  Eric was self-conscious about his receding chin profile.  Dr. Gross performed Chin Implant, submental liposuction, and Submentoplasty to strengthen his jawline and advance his chin. A small amount of fat was removed and muscle tightened under the chin for better definition. This is a common procedure for men and women who want a better profile. The explosion of social media, hand-held devices, 'selfies'  (and profile pics), has led to 24% increase in this procedure, according to a recent ASPS survey.

Testimonial: Chin augmentation is a common procedure performed to improve the balance of your facial profile and correct a "weak" or receding chin due to congenital deficiency, age-related bone resorption or facial trauma. This procedure has increased in popularity with advent of social media & facebook, as profile photos are frequently used. A weak chin can make the nose seem larger or make the neck appear full and undefined. Chin implant is the procedure of choice for most patients with normally functioning teeth and jaw development and gives more projection of the chin and a better shape. For men, it projects a greater sense of confidence and strength. Dr. Gross performs chin implant procedures through an incision under the chin with no visible scar. He performs this in conjunction with Rhinoplasty in ~30% of his cases. Submentoplasty - tightening and lifting the platysma muscle is also frequently performed (in conjunction with neck lipo) to enhance the patients overall result. Dr. Gross uses the Computer Imager to show patients their potential results with these procedures.
