Rhinoplasty and Chin Augmentation
Rhinoplasty as we all know is essentially to decrease the overall size of the nose. Whether it be to decrease a hump or make the tip smaller, it generally is to give the appearance of a smaller nose."With some patients we experience a double fold problem, a nose that is too large for the persons face and a chin that is recessed" says Dr. Gross. To have overall balance to the face, the tip of the chin should protrude to approximately out to the beginning of the lips, thus forming a fairly straight line from the base of the nose to the tip of the chin.
Chin augmentation is a relatively simple surgery that can have dramatic results for those that the surgery is appropriate for, some people may need jaw surgery which is a entirely different ball game. This demonstration can be performed on our computer imaging system during a cosmetic consultation.
