When you enter the luxurious surroundings of Primera Plastic Surgery, Day Spa & Salon, you can start off by enjoying a cup of coffee and a fresh cookie before your consultation or procedure. Then you can relax with a facial or massage, all within the serene 13,500 square-foot facility located just off the corner of Rinehart Road and Primera Boulevard.
"My dream has always been to have a comprehensive care center that can accommodate all aspects of patient care," says Edward Gross, MD, who moved his successful practice to the Lake Mary location in 2006. "Seminole County residents can come here for spa treatments, minor cosmetic procedures and full face-lifts, all done within our fully accredited AAAASF surgical facility."
In addition to Swedish, therapeutic, and hot stone therapy massages, facials, waxing, body scrubs, mud wraps, manicures and pedicures, Primera recently expanded to include a 1,600-square-foot salon, featuring six hairstylists and three nail technicians."It's a one-stop shop for our clients on the go," says James Freeman, cosmetic coordinator.
Dr. Gross specializes in facial plastic surgery and has been in practice for 15 years. His staff of 11 includes registered nurses, surgical technicians, estheticians, medical assistants, and massage therapists.
"Rhinoplasty is our number one procedure, followed by eyelid lifts," says James. "You would be amazed that our patients have very little bruising and swelling after procedures, because Dr. Gross is an expert who uses a tender and precise touch."
Dr. Gross and his staff also provide mini face and neck lifts, laser skin resurfacing, Botox and dermal fillers, scar revision, liposuction, and facial and chin implants.
"Our first step with clients is to do a full computer analysis of their skin to assess sun damage, wrinkles, and pores," Dr. Gross explains. "They can see everything objectively. Then we do computer modeling to show them exactly how they can look with treatment or surgical modifications."
"More men are coming in for procedures," says Dr. Gross, "And we see more patients who want to take advantage of treatments that offer little or no downtime, like chemical peels, dermal fillers and Botox."
"I am very focused on patient education, because I want my patients to make informed decisions," Dr. Gross says.
Dr. Gross received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and continued his surgical training in Boston at Tufts and Boston Universities. He was granted a fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery where his training was devoted to plastic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, head and neck.
Board-certified in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Gross is considered a leading plastic surgeon in the Orlando area. He is actively involved with many charitable organizations and performs pro-bono work for Face to Face, a program of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, which offers plastic and reconstructive surgery to domestic violence survivors.
