Any one or combination of the following conditions may indicate that you may be considered a good candidate for eyelid surgery:
Excess skin obscuring the natural fold of the upper eyelids
Loose skin hanging down from the upper eyelids, perhaps impairing vision
A puffy appearance to the upper eyelids, making the eyes look tired
Excess skin and fine, "crepe paper type" wrinkles of the lower eyelids
Bags and dark circles under the eyes
Lower eyelid droopiness
Eyelid surgery can usually correct these problems, though other treatments may also need to be considered. Some examples follow. If the upper eyelid condition is accompanied by sagging of the eyebrows, then a forehead lift may be recommended. Smoothing of crow's feet may be accomplished with Botox®, chemical peeling or laser resurfacing procedures. Circles beneath the eyes caused by dark pigmentation may be treated with fillers such as Hyaluronic Acid or fat as well as bleaching solution or chemical peel. Dr. Gross can provide further information if you have an interest in any of these additional procedures.
Eyelid surgery (or eyelid lift) "is one of the most gratifying plastic surgery procedures and also the most common area of need for men and women", says Dr. Gross. This procedure removes fat and excess skin from the upper and lower eyelids. Dr. Gross will also make necessary adjustments to the eyelid muscles for smoother, long-lasting results. A new procedure call Transconjunctival blepharoplasty or TCB allows the doctor to perform lower eyelid lift without any sutures or stitches-leading to a quicker recovery and no visible suture line!
Eyelid surgery can correct heavy upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes. These uncomplimentary features may make you look much older and tired when you actually feel rather young and vigorous. Many times Dr. Gross will combine eyelid surgery with eyebrow lifting using the Transbleph Browlift technique or other helpful adjuncts such as Botox, TCA chemical peel, or laser peels like Dot C02 for the best results. A Blepharoplasty will also improve, but not eliminate, dark circles under your eyes. Dr. Gross will prescribe a skin care regimen of Primera Pharmaceuticals™ after surgery to achieve your best results.

When I decided to do research on the finest plastic surgeons in Orlando, I contacted Dr. Edward J. Gross, voted "Best Plastic Surgeon," by Orlando Magazine. From my initial consultation to the completion of my surgery, I can honestly say I was extremely impressed; not only with Dr. Gross; but his staff as well. Dr. Gross took the time to discuss different alternatives and solutions, which were an Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty and a Buccal Fat Extraction to contour my cheeks. He explained to me in simple language the steps he would take and what the end results would be. I am very pleased with my results and would highly recommend Dr. Gross and his beautiful facility, to friends and colleagues.

I am extremely pleased with the results of my eye lid (upper and lower) surgery. since this was my first experience under the knife - I was very nervous. However, I was quickly put at ease by Dr. Gross and his staff. I especially want to thank Christina. She is a true professional who cares for her patient. This was demonstrated in how efficiently she took care of me from the minute I arrived for the surgery until the minute I left. In summary, the staff was very professional, attentive, knowledgeable and most important very caring. I am positive that this is a direct reflection of Dr. Gross. Please accept my sincere gratitude for the successful surgery and painless recovery. I want to thank Dr. Gross for the outstanding treatment I received at the Primera Plastic Surgery Center. I can honestly say that I would highly recommend Dr. Gross and his staff to my family, friends, and anyone desiring facial plastic surgery.

My tip to plastic surgery:
Be prepared before your surgery by taking care of your eating and drinking habits. Drink plenty of water and relaxing in the weeks before your surgery.
Buy everything on your pre-op list and your prescriptions well in advance of your surgery date. Your pharmacy may not have your prescription needs and may need time to obtain your drugs.
I followed all the information supplied by Dr. Gross and I had no pain and the bruising was gone within two weeks, when I returned to work.
Some friends and co-workers wanted to know where I went on vacation because I looked great and well rested. Of course I didn't tell...but I will tell you...THIS WAS THE BEST VACATION EVER! This is one vacation that will last for years to come.
I can't thank Dr. Gross enough or tell him enough about how happy I am. He truly is the best plastic surgeon.
I must tell you his staff will make you feel like family.
Respectfully,
Susan
